Moscone Center Background.

Located in San Francisco’s South of Market district, the Moscone Center is comprised of three main exhibition halls. Two of them, Moscone South and Moscone North, are located beneath Yerba Buena Gardens. Moscone South opened in 1981 while Moscone North got started 11 years later. Moscone West, a three-level structure that opened in 2003, is located across the street. The Moscone Center is named for former San Francisco Mayor George Moscone who was assassinated in 1978. Each year, the Moscone Center draws millions of attendees from all around the world for conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows.
